We offer the following courses:
PL/I programming - 10 days
This course assumes NO prior PL/I knowledge and covers all practical components of the language as well as Z/OS specific considerations such as the linkage editor. At the end of the course the student should be able to confidently code PL/I.
This course is very HANDS-ON.
Pre-reqs - MUST be able to use TSO/ISPF
PL/I programming Advanced workshop - 5 days
This course assumes at least 2 years PL/I experience and Includes:
· Review of syntax, facilities and data types
· VSAM file processing
· Pointer manipulation
· Language Environment – concepts, storage management, run-time options
· Dump analysis
· Linkage Editor
· Compiler options
· Performance Tuning – including interpreting the generated assembler listing
This course is HANDS-ON.
